more piccies

the last picture is the door to the cupboard in our bedroom. We had assumed the kit include a door for it, but it didn't, and the plans don't show a door. The joinersknocked one up in no time at all though!

Hi - I've just found this blog and am v interested as we are hoping to build the same house in the not-too-distant future! I was thinking that instead of the downstairs en-suite and cupboard I would go for a big walk in wardrobe instead - good or bad idea? Also, how do you feel about the chimneys now they're there - I know they are only decorative and as such don't think we'll go for them. Has it turned out as you imagined as per the original plans? More questions might well follow! Thanks v much and keep up the good work. Zella & Billy

for sure the bedroom storage is not huge, so if you have a lot of clothes and can live without the good sized en suite, it would be a good idea. The chimneys look great and give the house a great balanced look, and one which i think matches well with the other houses in the area, where many of the older cottagess have fat squat chimneys on either gables.
It is exactly like I thought it would be, which is a good thing.
