Scalpings all completely whacked now, and covered witha blinding layer of sand. probably 50mm thick, but I didn't speak to the boss today so that's an assumption.
First step of the services has been taken. Ducts for electricity and telecoms have been laid. pop ups have been laid for the drainage, and the blue pipe is the incoming water supply pipe.
Need to ask where the broadband pipe is, cos I want a large diameter.
Hardcore almost fully whacked (scalpings almost fully rolled) into a nice formation to take DPM, insulation and then slab with underfloor heating pipes (begetube) The hardcore hasn't been whacked at the areas where the blockwork was finished last, just to give it a bit extra time to cure. The substructure blockwork has been completely finished now, and I have to say, I'm please with it.
Well, near enough finished, with three courses to the front and four to the back. Contractor didnt use the trenchblock as he had thought he would, but did it all traditionally. There's a big pile of hardcore, or rolled scalpings as they say up here, well scalpings, as they will be rolled later. This will form the solid base and blinded layer on which the insulation and then concrete slab with underfloor heating pipes within will sit. This will be poured on Monday.
