One of the chimneys is being prepared with metal lathe, which will receive wet dash just like the external walls. There is a tricky detail where the external skin of blockwork will come up to the top of the chimney and the wooden box and blockwork will be roughcast together to form the chimneys. By that time the slates will be on the roof and it shouldn't move or settle anymore. The boxes are very solid for the same reason.
