pretty blockwork.....

hole

remember that hole in the gable end panel. I discovered it was to get the top hat beams in, as they were too awkward to fit up into the trusses once they were up...which they had to be for the top hat beams to go in.
Anyway, its seealed up now, prior to blockwork.

we are preparing for fixing the timber cladding above the windows to the rear. The shiplap has been laid out and given a first coat; the paint is the same as the window frames so should look spiffing!

work ongoing!

Some plasterboarding has been done to the lounge, and the first floor has been prepared for boarding (SHIP AHOY C'PTAIN!). the recess at the velux windows has been framed out to get rid of the erm...recess and make the walls run straight along the erm...wall

I think it will look better that way.

insulation, insulation, insulation

The insulation is almost completed. Just wee bits and bobs to finish off. As with everything else, it's very neat.
It was quite warm in the new house this evening, a nice summers day. When I got back here it was cold........and the heating was on......
